On June 10, 2001 Kate graduated from Loyola Medical School, Chicago, IL. Her uncle, John Piderit SJ was President of Loyola University and was present to award Kate her diploma. In addition to Ann, Bill, William and John, Mother, Mary Alanah and Cecily flew to Chicago to share in the graduation festivities.
Following graduation, Kate packed up and moved into her apartment on 93rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. Kate completed her Internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She spent 15 years at Mount Sinai before moving to Philadelphia.
Kathleen A. Gibbs, MD, is presently an attending neonatologist in the Division of Neonatology, Medical Director of the Newborn and Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program and the Medical Director of the Newborn/Infant Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
